After many online trainings we are happy to be able to offer you an in-person training with Uma Dinsmore Tuli again! She is coming back to Amsterdam to teach the Total Yoga Nidrā Foundation Course, which is the pre-requisite for the Total Yoga Nidra Teacher Training that she will teach in Amsterdam in April.

The training is open to all levels of practitioners. You can join to deepen your practice and experience the different lineages of yoga nidra, or as part of your training to become a facilitator yourself. For this training, it is only possible to register for both days.

The Total Yoga Nidra Foundation Course
Comparative and creative forms of Yoga Nidrā

Are you interested in Yoga Nidrā? Would you like to experience more Yoga Nidrā and learn about how it works and its history? Are you looking to deepen your Yoga Nidrā practice? Maybe you are considering taking the Total Yoga Nidra Teacher Training in the future? Then this is the course for you! A practical and philosophical training, designed and led by the co-founder of the Yoga Nidra Network, Uma Dinsmore Tuli.

Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Nirlipta Tuli have shared this training at locations around the world since 2013. Their intention with the training is to offer an accessible and profound experience of yoga nidrā. It provides a perfect opportunity for those who have encountered the practice in other partial or limited forms to experience the full spectrum of approaches and applications.

During the training, you will be provided with a 30-page manual. The training will be completed with a test. After passing the test, you will receive the certificate that allows you to take part in any future Total Yoga Nidrā Teacher Training.

Topics the training will cover:

  • Welcome to Yoga Nidrā

  • The history and development of Yoga Nidrā

  • Intentions, and how they shape the practice

  • Comparative structures

  • Comparative rotations of consciousness

  • The Science of Yoga Nidrā

  • The philosophy of Yoga Nidrā

  • Liminality and creativity

  • Memory, sleep, and dreams

  • Trance: hypnosis and Yoga Nidrā

  • Yoga Nidra as a meditative practice

  • Sankalpa

  • Yoga Nidrā and Bhakti Yoga

  • Growing your practice

Please note: this course does not train you to teach Yoga Nidrā. It does give you access to the 50-hour complete teacher and facilitator course that trains you to share Yoga Nidrā. The next teacher training is scheduled to take place in April 2025 in Amsterdam-Weesp.

Location:
We are gathering at the beautiful St.Laurentius church in Amsterdam-Weesp, only a 15-minute train ride from Amsterdam Central Station. In this fully equipped church that is turned into a Yoga Studio, you can truly enjoy Uma’s teachings. During your lunch break, you can stroll along the picturesque canals in Weesp. It’s the perfect combination to get the most out of this training so you leave feeling fully recharged and inspired.
